Our Service
At Ring Sizing, we specialise in altering the finger size of your cherished ring. We will send you a sizing gauge with simple instructions to guarantee a perfect fit. We will also send you a pre addressed registered and insured postal bag to send your ring and completed sizing gauge to our workshop. On receipt of your ring we will expertly alter it to the required size Then once the alteration has been completed we will clean and polish your ring to make it look amazing returning it to you within 5 working days by registered mail.
Please note that registered and insured return postage and packaging to you is included in the price of the ring sizing but the cost of postage to us is payable by you. We provide you with a pre addressed registered postal pack to send us your ring you will however have to pay £7.90 at the Post Office to send this to us.
Sizing down or Sizing up
We can alter the size of almost any ring from simple silver bands to complex 18 carat gold diamond rings and almost everything in between. There is a big difference between the process of making a ring bigger and making a ring smaller. Making a ring smaller (sizing down) involves cutting the shank removing some material and then re-soldering the shank and re-finishing. Making a ring bigger (sizing up) involves cutting the shank and inserting material.
Sizing Down
Because no additional metal is required the cost of sizing down is the same for any precious metal ring i.e. Silver, Gold and Platinum, however because white gold and Platinum yellows a little over time it requires Rhodium plating to achieve a long lasting bright white finish and this adds a little to the cost of sizing. If you require Rhodium plating please ensure that you choose this option.
If you have a ring that needs making smaller (sizing down) please select either any ring any size down or White Gold or Platinum ring any size down. We will then send you a ring sizing gauge and full instructions and packaging to send us you ring for sizing down.
The price for this service includes everything except the cost of posting to us. We recommend that you use the pre addressed registered pack which we will send you and pay the insured rate which at present is £7.95. (this covers a value of up to £750.00).
Sizing Up
Because sizing up if a more complex process and dependant on the metal that the ring is made from along with the number of additional sizes required there are multiple price points for this service. Also you will need to know the existing size of your ring in order to select an option.
